MSI Ministry Partner : Pioneers International

For many years, Pioneers International has graciously assisted the missions ministry of MSI through a mutually accepted strategic partnership agreement. This agreement allows missions-minded believers, desiring to serve overseas with MSI, to enter PI's comprehensive orientation program as an initial step to possible field appointment. PI's intensive physiological and theological screening assure the applicant, PI and MSI of the individual's qualifications, mental stability and spiritual maturity necessary to function in what can often be challenging and stressful field assignments.

Once these hopeful missionaries successfully complete orientation, PI staff begins to shepherd them through the process of raising the necessary financial support to become long-term members of a missionary team.

MSI is an all volunteer organization, thus we do not have a full-time professional staff to manage the many vital aspects required when sending and maintaining long-term missionaries overseas. The fact that PI provides this essential service to MSI is at the heart of our partnership agreement. Without PI's cooperation, it would require an entire layer of administration that MSI does not have.

When an individual is accepted by PI and MSI, has raised their required support funds and received an appointment to field service, the partnership agreement with PI does not end. Under the agreement, PI continues to work closely with the missionary by providing all of the administrative and logistical services needed to care for them as they serve so far away from home.

Among missions organizations, an arrangement such as what PI and MSI have is referred to as seconding. A missionary is seconded to, or released to work with, another like-minded organization for the purpose of Kingdom building in a particular location.

MSI is truly blessed to enjoy the cooperation, support and encouragement of Pioneers International.
